Microwave wheat cake (eggless)

Maida/ all purpose flour has to be always replaced by nutritious wheat flour.... How good if you can bake a cake using a healthy flour and in a Microwave oven!!  Follow the recipe and relish on wheat cake in few minutes. Trust me!! Preparation time is a few minutes....




Recipe Ingredients:
Whole wheat flour : 1 and a quarter cup
Cocoa Powder        : 3 Table spoon
Baking Powder       : 1/2 teaspoon (I used it from Baker's having 2 forms of soda)
Mixed dry fruits     : 3/4 cup (Soaked in milk)
Sugar                      : 1/2 cup
Honey/ molasses    : 1/4 cup
Olive oil                 : 1/4 cup
Water or Milk        : 1/2 cup (Luke warm)

Preparation time : 6 min or till the tooth pick coming out clean

Procedure:

1. Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and powdered sugar in a big bowl.

2. Mix all the above ingredients and bring it to pouring consistency. Pour it to greased microwave compatible vessel or cake mould.


 3. Bake in a microwave oven for 5 minutes, check using a tooth pick by piercing into it and the tooth pick should come out clean. If not, continue to microwave till it is done. (Make sure not to burn it off). Invert it on a plate, allow it to cool and cut them into pieces.


4. Dust some sugar powder or icing sugar and feast on the healthy cake.




Molasses can also be used in place of honey which adds great flavors to the cake. Upon rejecting milk in the recipe, it can serve vegans too...

With this healthy dessert ice cream can be a good accompaniment.

    1. Yup Nikhila, Dry baking in the thick bottom cooker can replace convection oven. If you don't mind the maida/ all purpose flour, you can feast on the fluffy cakes.
      Method: Preheat cooker, add some rock salt, place spacers/ respective pressure cooker accessory, on which place the cake mix in cake mold, close the lid and invert a tumbler on top vent, simmer stove and cook for 30 min or insert toothpick n check.
